CFWIJ Annual Report 2020
2020 has been a truly tumultuous year. Political turbulences, economic crises, civil riots, and violence, all arised amidst the massive health crisis. Throughout these last 12 months, countless journalists repeatedly flagged an alarming surge in violence and visible deterioration in press freedom. The growing hostile environment was predominantly fueled by the global pandemic crisis, which has diametrically reshaped the media landscape and forced journalists to adapt to new, distressing working conditions.
