Women Press Freedom stands in solidarity with the woman journalist who bravely exposed harassment by Shiv Sena politician #WamanMhatre, highlighting the police's complicity in shielding him.

After reporting on a sexual harassment case last month, the journalist faced offensive remarks from the politician. She has also expressed concern over the inadequate procedures in recording her statements and the swift granting of bail to the accused.

No journalist should face intimidation or ostracism for reporting on matters of public interest. We demand accountability and a thorough, impartial investigation into the case.
